Minnesota Health Plan Caucus
AboutAbout
Launched by nearly 60 legislators from both the Senate and House, the Minnesota Health Plan Caucus aims to pass legislation to provide healthcare to all Minnesotans. The Minnesota Health Plan, a bill introduced by Senator John Marty, is the focus of this caucus, and would provide a single, statewide plan to cover all Minnesota residents for all their medical needs. Enacting the bill will eradicate the existing insurance system, which is costly and leaves many Minnesota residents uninsured or paying high premiums for necessary care. The new system would be streamlined, removing the need for complex application forms, copays and other out-of-pocket expenses, and would prevent insurance companies from interfering with medical decision-making. This is healthcare funded by Minnesotans for Minnesotans.
